Big Idea: Students will create artwork reflecting diversity, tolerance and peace for the winter season. This image will have multiple uses and will be put into a regional contest through C.R.E.C.

The student will recognize the importance of connecting with the consumer and trying to sell their product to a larger audience. Students will also be required to adhere to a deadline. Any late product designs will not be accepted. Deadline for 2013 Holiday season is Tues. October 14th 2014

- Students will learn the value of production, having a deadline and an editor to better understand the career status of designers and what is expected of them.
- The student will analyze the effect the elements of art and the principles of design have on the communication of ideas.
- The student will identify the role of artists in mass media.
Design Process:
- Create a blueprint of a theme.
- Have your artwork proofed by teacher before beginning onto final.
- Artwork should be no larger than 8.5x11
- Use detail and blending skills, are you demonstrating quality craftsmanship?
- Final approval by teacher.
